Polyrizon Ltd. has initiated preclinical studies for intranasal delivery of benzodiazepines (BZDs) using its proprietary Trap and Target™ platform. The focus is on treating acute repetitive seizures (ARS) and status epilepticus, conditions affecting millions globally and for which current treatments often prove inadequate. These studies, conducted in partnership with Professor Fabio Sonvico of the University of Parma, will evaluate the platform’s drug delivery capabilities using a model molecule that simulates the behavior of intranasal benzodiazepines.
