Qu Biologics has completed enrollment for its RESILIENCE Study, a Phase 2 clinical trial testing QBKPN SSI, a novel immunomodulator designed to boost innate immunity in individuals 65 and older. The trial will assess whether QBKPN treatment can effectively restore diminished immune function associated with aging, potentially mitigating the risk of infections, chronic diseases, and cancer. This trial stems from previous studies demonstrating QBKPN’s potential to reverse age-related immune dysregulation and address underlying disease causes.

This research is critically important because it addresses the significant unmet need of age-related immune decline, a major contributor to various health issues in the elderly population. A successful outcome could revolutionize preventative healthcare for this demographic, offering a proactive approach to extending healthy lifespan, rather than simply treating individual diseases as they arise. This has far-reaching implications, potentially reducing the burden on healthcare systems and improving the overall quality of life for older adults.

The RESILIENCE study involves 72 participants and is randomized and placebo-controlled to ensure rigorous evaluation of QBKPN SSI’s efficacy. In anticipation of the study results, Qu Biologics is currently completing a USD 2 million bridge financing round and actively seeking pharmaceutical partners for co-development opportunities.

The results of this Phase 2 trial will be crucial for the future of QBKPN SSI. Positive data would not only validate Qu Biologics’ approach to immune restoration but could also pave the way for broader applications of SSI technology in addressing other age-related conditions. This could lead to a paradigm shift in healthcare, moving towards proactive immune enhancement and potentially transforming how we approach aging and age-related diseases.
